Can anyone point me i n the direction of an anial shelter where I can go to volunteer at weekends please? I used to do this when I lived in France and I found it very rewarding. Thanks for your help!

This is one of the biggest no kill shelters in the area. Give them a call, I bet they could use the help!!

The idea of a 'kill' shelter seems so barbaric doesn't it?! Thanks so much for this link. I will take a look.

You are right but unfortunately there are so many needy animals here that the shelters are really under pressure to euthanise, (if they want to receive subsidies that is).
