The main national and international airport for the Montreal region is the Montréal-Trudeau airport in Dorval. This is a major international airport with flights to Europe, Asia, the Middle East, South America and the US as well as domestic flights throughout Canada. The airport is 20 Km from downtown Montreal.

There are two main sections to the terminal:

  1. International and domestic departures. This is the main, older part of the terminal building.
  2. Departures to the US. (Entrance doors 7 to 11 under the Marriott Hotel) Passengers travelling to the US clear US customs and immigration immediately after the security screening process. This means that on landing at their US destination they will be in the domestic arrivals section.

Connecting flights: Depending on their points of origin and destination, most passengers with connecting flights through Montreal-Trudeau must collect and re-check their luggage Information

Car rental: Most companies have offices on the ground level of the main parking lot. Follow the signs from the terminal building Information
Taxis and limousines are available outside the main arrivals hall on the lower level. Taxis must have a permit to operate from the airport and can take payment by cash or major credit cards Information
Public transport: Bus 747 is a shuttle service operating between the airport and downtown every 45-60 minutes, 24/7 Information
Regional buses: Shuttle busses operate from the airport to Quebec City, the Eastern Townships, Ottawa and Gatineau Information
Trains: A free minibus runs between the VIA Rail station in Dorval and the airport Information

Aéroport Montréal/Saint-Hubert/Longueuil is near the south shore of Montreal and operates regional flights to several municipalities across the province of Québec. There are also several flight training schools at the airport, and a number of other businesses and facilities.
