Camping
The main season for camping in Québec is from June to August, although many sites are open from spring through to the autumn. Campgrounds are rated from 0 to 5 stars based on the quality of facilities and activities, in much the same way as hotels are rated.
Most larger camp sites in Québec are designed to cater mainly for motor homes and caravans, some of which can be as big as a passenger coach. These large campgrounds usually have a good range of facilities including power supply, toilet and shower blocks, shops, swimming pool and recreation areas. Most campgrounds have a separate designated area for tents. There are also many smaller sites for those that prefer a more simple style of camping, and these usually have at least toilet and shower facilities.
